OmniDiskSweeper for Mac
Find and delete large, unwanted files.
OmniDiskSweeper is really great at what it does: showing you the files on your drive, in descending order by size, and letting you delete them easily! It scans your disks as quickly as possible and shows you the facts - if a file doesn't make the cut to stay, just click the big Delete button and be done with it. It's a fast, easy way to find those large files cluttering up your drive and clearing them out for new, better things. Make sure you want them gone, though. There's no going back.
As above—like computers it’s very logical if one just kinda meditates on what it’s doing. Not sure it was the cause but after updating to Sonoma 14.2 all of a sudden it seemed like Mike M3 Mac Pro was choked with data that I couldn't really find where it was. Finder was saying for example, I had like 140 GB of data used but system settings were saying I was using the terabyte or something and I've only got a 512 machine, not sure exactly how it was. I found it with OmniDiskSweeper but nonetheless I found huge files it seemed to have nothing to do with much of anything deleted them and everything is still running very well and currently I'm down to 98 GB of data used of the 490 or so of the 512 is available. So three cheers for OmniDiskSweeper!!!
